The holidays are almost here; time to gather & feast.
Under Lynne Curry's incredible guidance,
we'll gather for an afternoon of productive pie making.
Together, we'll transform butter & flour into pie crust
& turn local apples into the ideal filling.
We'll learn skills, gaining the confidence to make it easy as pie.
Students will each go home with an apple pie,
ready to pop in the freezer for future festivities.

Prairie Mountain Folk School has partnered with Cabin Love to offer this 8-day course on how to build a 16x20 Japanese style timber frame cabin. Instructor Tom Bonamici will lead you from layout, through cutting joinery, to raising your frame. You'll learn the skills to build your own little place in the woods and take home a set of Prairie Mountain (and Cabin Love) approved cabin plans. This one’s simple, without all the frills, just like a cabin should be. Want to take the cabin home? At the end of your 8 day course, students will have the chance to buy the frame you built together. Please note that no experience with woodworking or tools is necessary.

Join us for this very special workshop with hatmaker Cate Havstad of Havstad Hat Co.
During the course of this two day workshop you'll learn about hatmaking  traditions while crafting your own custom hat from 100X beaver felt. Each student will go home with a hat built entirely for their own head including a custom leather hatband.
